Kingston Gardens Ministry

The Kingston Gardens Health and Outreach Centre, 2 West Avenue, Kingston 4, is owned and operated by the Jamaica Baptist Union Mission Agency (JBUMA), on behalf of the Union of congregations. In the past it served largely as a skills training institute offering training in health care assistance and computer skills and conducted revision class for CXC (high school external exam) candidates.  Evangelistic activities was also an important feature of the Centre as it operated as a medical and counselling centre every 4th Saturday of the month, and conducted yearly health fairs and Vacation Bible Schools.  Today, the Centre provides shelter to the homeless.

100 & Park Lanes, Red Hills Road Ministries

The Jamaica Baptist Union and the Bethel Baptist Church, Half Way Tree, began its mission to the communities at 100 and Park Lanes in January 2002, in response to political upheaval that resulted in death, fire and the two communities in dispute.

The mission is working for unity, justice, peace and love through the following areas:

  • Sports Evangelism - Football
  • Sunday School
  • Peace & Reconciliation Initiatives
  • Collaboration with the Jamaica Council of Churches in other peace initiatives
  • Re-establishment of a basic school

Health Fair Programme 

This programme facilitates requests from congregations to organize Health fairs.
